Hi, I'm Harsh Patel
I'm a recent B.Tech graduate in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Gwalior. I build human-centric, interpretable machine learning solutions and enjoy bringing ideas to life—whether through code, design, or photography.
Currently, I'm on the lookout for exciting internship opportunities in Data Science or Data Analytics where I can apply my skills, contribute meaningfully, and continue growing through real-world experience.
By day, I’m diving into datasets, building models, and visualizing insights. By night, I’m sketching wireframes in Figma or chasing shadows and stories with my camera on the street. I believe the best work happens where creativity meets computation.
Projects
Clinical Diabetes Risk Assessment
This project leverages machine learning to predict diabetes risk using clinical parameters. I built a Random Forest classifier and optimized its threshold to prioritize recall (81%), ensuring minimal false negatives. I integrated SHAP for model interpretability, enabling clinicians to understand the influence of features like glucose and BMI. The results are presented via an interactive Streamlit dashboard with real-time recommendations and visualizations.

Happiness Insights 2020
Analyzed the 2020 World Happiness Report to study the pandemic's influence on global well-being. Using data from 153 countries, I developed a predictive model to rank happiness scores and applied SHAP analysis to discover that social support was 28% more influential than GDP. The project features a fully interactive dashboard with dynamic plots and country-level insights to support policy recommendations.

I’m a problem-solver with a visual mindset and a deep appreciation for the power of data. Throughout my academic journey, I've combined my love for mathematics, storytelling, and design to explore the world through multiple lenses—sometimes literally, as a street photographer.
When I’m not experimenting with models or editing visuals, I enjoy reading about behavioral science, photographing unnoticed moments in urban spaces, and learning how good design can shape better tech.
